The friction app allows you to test sliding and rolling friction on an iPad. It combines the ease of a whiteboard for showing forces with the tactile feedback of a real experiment.
The coefficient of friction can be changed so that you can see the relationship between the reaction, the force of gravity down the plane and the friction when slippage starts.

In a more advanced option the simulation can be set up to show when sliding becomes rolling.
